Settings below will only work for Internet Explorer 5 or HIGHER
and Netscape 4.79 or OLDER. For Newer versions of Netscape or
other browsers please consult their help files for how to set up
a proxy connection. Windows XP user's Control
Panel may look differently then described below. When in the
Control Panel please click the option "Switch to Classic view"
in the upper left hand side of the Control Panel.
- Click on Start.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Control Panel.
- Double Click on Internet Options.
- Click on the Connections tab.
- From this screen select your account and click
Settings. Your account may be named differently, so make
sure to select the account you use with our service.
- Under the heading Proxy Server. Put a check next
to "Use a proxy server for this connection."
- In the Address box type vaeast.zipdialup.com
- In the Port box you have 2 choices.
a. With ad and banner filtering use 8000
b. Without ad or banner filtering use 7000
- Put a check next to "Bypass proxy server for local
addresses".
- Click Ok.
- Click Ok again.
- Close the Control Panel.
- Congratulations your computer is now set up to use Zip
Dial-Up!
